Hi, I'm Jonny.
Like a lot of photographers, I’m much more comfortable behind a lens than in front of one.
I have a background in BBC radio journalism where I reported for The World Service in several countries in East Africa before moving into photography. I worked alongside some brilliant photojournalists over the years who seeded my love of photography, and it wasn’t long before I had started filing my own images to news desks, before making the change to photography full time. I try to keep the observational aspects of journalism alive within my wedding photographs.
I fell in love with documentary wedding photography because ultimately I am fascinated by people. Being invited to take really personal images of people on one of the most emotionally significant days of their lives still feels like a privilege, and I hope this comes across in my work.
I have photographed over 400 weddings and worked all across the UK and occasionally further afield. I have photographed big weddings in fancy hotels that last for days and tiny, private ceremonies at local registry offices that are over in the blink of an eye.
I’m friendly and easy-going and I like to think I have good people skills and can read a room.
If you like what you see here then it would be an honour to photograph your wedding. Please drop me a line to check my availability for your wedding day.
You captured it beautifully and we will treasure the photos forever!

Why I shouldn’t be your wedding photographer.
Choosing your wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you’ll have to make in the run up to your big day. It’s important to love their work, but also to feel like you like them as a person, so finding the right fit is key.
If you are more concerned with how many likes your wedding will get on Instagram, rather than how much fun you are going to have on your day, I’m probably not the right photographer for you.
If you’ve made a multi-page moodboard document of wedding poses and the latest instagram presets, we’re also probably not going to align.
But if you want the emotional essence of your day crafted into a beautiful visual story which transports you back in years to come, then we should definitely talk.
